Equality Duty

Webster Primary School is a fully inclusive school where we focus on the well-being and progress of every child. Our school is a diverse, safe and happy place to learn. We strive to ensure that all members of the school community contribute to a caring and a welcoming environment where our pupils are nurtured as individuals. We believe that every individual has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

All our pupils are treated fairly and equally and have equal rights to access all curriculum areas. We tackle any issues of disadvantage and underachievement of different groups. In accordance with our Vision Statement we pledge to respect the human rights of our pupils and to educate them about equality, to respect difference and to prepare them for the diverse world we live in.

Equality is integrated into everyday school life and is inherent in most things we do as a matter of course. We respect the equality rights of our staff and members of the wider school community. Webster Primary School is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all.

You can find information on this page about how our school complies with the law and how it complies with its duties under the Equality Act 2010.
