Governing Body

Our Governing Body plays an important role in supporting the school and helping to shape its future. Working alongside the Principal, governors provide support, challenge and strategic oversight to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

Drawing on a range of skills and experiences, governors help to set the school's vision and values, monitor performance, oversee finances and ensure that the school remains a safe, inclusive and inspiring place to learn.

Although governors are not involved in the day-to-day running of the school, they are committed to promoting high standards and supporting the continued success of our whole school community.

The Governing Board consists of 11 trustees: The Principal, 2 x Staff, 2 x Parents, 3 x Community and 3 x Co-opted.

All Governors are Directors of the Company.

Three Members form the Academy Trust whose overall objective is 'to advance for the public benefit, education in the United Kingdom, without prejudice, by establishing, maintaining, carrying on, managing and developing The Academy, offering a broad and balanced curriculum'.

All governors have a responsibility in law to be responsible for the legal and financial side of the effective running of the Academy and for all company compliance in relation to Companies House and at all times to act responsibly and to have the best interests of the company at heart.

The day to day running of the school is delegated to the Principal.
