Illustration Club November/ December 2014 with Stephen Nuttall

Stephen has returned to Webster to inspire a new group of children to develop their drawings in new and unusual ways!

Week 1:

We concentrated on how to draw using shapes and also the basics of drawing faces. We then cut up the drawings and made new faces from them. Stephen has created a virtual exhibition of their drawings below.

Week 2: #photomontage in the style of German artist Hannah Hoch

Week 3: #Webster'sUnusualCreations

Comic illustrations in the mindset of Terry Gilliam (of Monty Python fame).

Week 4: A whole world of emotions!

Week 5: #thewebsterwarriors

 Screen Printing Club September 2014

Screen printing is a club we have run many times over the years and the outcomes are always fantastic. Year 2 children are currently working with artist Sally Gilford on prints inspired by Hundertwasser.  Here are some examples of Hundertwasser's work:

and here are some pictures from the club:

Photography Club April 2014

Photography club was one of our most successful after school clubs ever- it has been fantastic to see the children so engaged in developing their skills and understanding. They developed their own photos in the dark room and made pin hole cameras.

Every child took home a camera with film in and took photos of their own choosing- we waited with anticipation for the pictures to be developed and we weren't disappointed with the results!
